Debby Chuang

Originally from Taiwan, Debby moved to Hong Kong in 2013, enrolling in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with the HKSAR Government Scholarship. In 2017, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Dance, majoring in ballet. In her final semester, Debby sustained a major injury. As a result, Debby took an interest in safe movement practice and injury prevention, both for rehabilitation and to condition her body for the future. A year later, through her practice of Xtend Barre, Debby successfully recovered from her injury. She secured a position in the Hong Kong Dance Company in 2019, and has been with the company since. Debby, also being a professional ballet instructor, likes to infuse some elements of ballet into her exercises. Her interested in Classical Pilates led her to join the Real Pilates Teacher Training course which she completed in February 2023.
